Shaker International complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union to the United States. Shaker International has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov/

Individuals have the possibility, under certain conditions, to invoke binding arbitration. Shaker International is required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

Shaker International is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the Federal Trade Commission.

Shaker International has further committed to cooperate with the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved Privacy Shield complaints concerning data transferred from the EU.

Collection of and Use of Personal Data

Shaker International and its affiliates develop and administer pre-employment assessments, job performance questionnaires, surveys, job simulations, and Virtual Job Tryout™ experiences. During development and after, these tools may entail the collection and analysis of personal data provided by users of the system from various countries throughout the world. Example information collected through these tools: email address, first and last name, address, country, other contact information, and answers to various questions including but not restricted to work history, work preferences, personal interests, behaviors, motives, talents, aptitudes, and competencies. Shaker International does not collect demographic personal information, such as age, race, and gender, except when given completely voluntarily. All personal data is collected directly from the individuals themselves.

Personal information is available to Shaker International, its affiliates, and its clients in that they can make personnel decisions (e.g., evaluate applicants or current employees, hire applicants, promote current employees, etc.), or when applicable, relay the information to their clients. 

Shaker International does not disclose personal data to any third parties and assumes liability in cases of onward transfer of personal data to third parties.

Individuals have the right to access their personal data or request limiting the use of their personal data by submitting a request to Shaker International through any of the means listed above.
