Shaker is pleased to welcome industrial-organizational (I-O) psychologist Nicole Petersen as an analyst on our Design-Build team.
Petersen brings a broad range of experience in complex analysis and data interpretation using advanced statistical and research methodologies for the design, development, and validation of assessments.
“Nicole’s qualifications with big data stood out immediately,” said Daly Vaughn, Shaker managing associate and team leader. “The nature of her research coupled with her consulting experience are a great fit for our expanding practices in machine learning and artificial intelligence for predicting on-the-job success.”
Petersen earned her PhD in I-O psychology from Bowling Green State University and has worked as a consultant to assessment developers, public agencies, and commercial enterprises. Most recently, she served as assistant professor of psychology at Radford University.
Scott Goodman, vice president of Client Solutions at Shaker, said, “Nicole brings a passion for I-O psychology and analytics, a unique academic background, and an infectious positivity to the workplace. We are delighted to have Nicole join the team and think she will be a great addition both culturally and for the perspective she will bring to further develop our intellectual capital.”
Petersen commented, “What I find most exciting about Shaker is the combination of interesting work and collaboration with great people. Shaker offers the opportunity to work closely with a bright and engaged team of employee selection experts, while delivering a truly unique experience for clients and job applicants. This commitment to an innovative and client-centered approach promises an engaging career, and I’m excited to be a part of the Shaker team.”
